The Miz's A-lister gimmick is golden, making the most of Mike Mizanin's inherent punchable smugness. But all things must change and the Miz can't stay static forever, as evidenced by his being given the Miztourage as someone who can be beaten up in his stead.
The WWE just so happens to have another member of kayfabe Hollywood royalty on its books - Goldust, whose vignettes have been teasing a return to the ring in something closer to his earlier mode as a sinister weirdo.
Goldust, the ageing Tinseltown star, takes the A-lister under his wing. He claims he can make The Miz a megastar, catapulting him to the very heights of the silver screen.
Goldust gets to dial his movie diva persona up to the absolute maximum as he teams with The Miz, while Miz's ego is inflated to even more absurd dimensions and the pair become a truly despised heel pair.
