7. The Motor City Machine Guns
One of the things TNA got right, at least sporadically was their tag team division. Unfortunately for them, one of their best, most iconic tag teams were released-- but not without getting over huge first. Alex Shelley improved leaps and bounds throughout his TNA run, turning into one of the better technical wrestlers in America, while also showing his range during the hilarious Paparazzi Productions segments in which really made people took notice. Alex Shelley does have commitments to New Japan Pro Wrestling, but GFW has a working relationship with the company. His partner Chris Sabin overcame two consecutive ACL injuries to become TNA World Champion, but was released from his contract during a period in which the company underwent massive budget cuts. Unlike Shelley, who has other obligations, Sabin doesn't have a contract with any major promotion. Both are in their early 30's, and more than capable of carrying a tag team division, and then branching out on their own.
