10 Talents Jeff Jarrett's Global Force Wrestling Must Sign Up

5. Shelton Benjamin

When beginning a wrestling promotion, familiar faces are needed to help promote a product. While Shelton Benjamin was not a giant superstar at any point, ring generals, veterans, and positive influences on up and coming stars are crucial to any promotion, and he provides that. Benjamin is currently in the midst of a run in NJPW, which as mentioned earlier, has a working deal with GFW. While Benjamin would likely not be pushed in the manner in which many clamored for during his WWE run, he could be seen as a threat to any title at any time, especially for a young promotion. If GFW did want to push Benjamin to the moon, having him portray an Anderson Silva-esque "so good and he knows it" type of gimmick could help accelerate his career, especially with an established following in the past. If given a manager, he could portray a steady upper-card character for the remainder of his career.
