10 Terrible Gimmick Wrestling Matches One Tweak Away From Excellence

Why It's Terrible: It's really, really hard to get right. No falls over 60 minutes can be a total drain, but too many render the match somewhat unbelievable. Especially if the decisions come at the expense of the wrestler's intelligence.

One Tweak: Ban finishers until the final 10 minutes. If two stars have gone hell-for-leather without registering a fall, they've earned the right to unleash their deadliest weapon at the most important moment. If the prior 50 minutes have been dishwater dull, fix all that with a spam session in the final 10.

Going into war without their favourite hold or strike, the wrestlers will also be forced into alternate creative solutions outside of their typical comfort zone, which could act as a reinvention of sorts over the course of the hour. WWE have long given up trying to keep consistency with their characters, so there's no better match than this to make the most of the chaos.
