10 Terrible WWE Creative Decisions (That Were Better Than You Think)

9. Chris Jericho Chooses The Big Show As His Partner

Who knows what could have happened had Edge managed to stay injury-free in 2009. One thing is for sure, the Canadian tag-team the man shared with Chris Jericho would have been a complete riot, and there's every chance that the tandem would have been the best thing to happen to WWE's tag-team division for years. Unfortunately, Edge would be put on the shelf, which meant Jericho had a job on his hands finding a replacement partner. In one of Y2J's books, the man says there were several options to replace Edge, but none of them really seemed like that big a deal. Choosing his own accompaniment, Jericho took 'big deal' literally. When it was revealed that The Big Show was to be Jericho's partner, a lot of people groaned, because it seemed entirely predictable. Amazingly, the idea would prove to be a master stroke, as Jericho recast Show as an unstoppable monster, one which could back up his smarmy heel braggart persona perfectly.
