10 Terribly Booked WWE Title Situations This Year

10. Usos Win Tag Titles Before WrestleMania, Defend Straps On Pre-Show

WWE.comWWE.comNow entering their fifth month as WWE Tag Team Champs, Jimmy and Jey Uso continue to prove themselves as quality performers who can entertain and certainly deserve the belts they wear. Their recent wars with the Wyatt Family shows how good they are and how they are getting fans behind them more and more. But the biggest crime against the Usos is when they won their tag titles €“ a month before WrestleMania XXX €“ and that they defended their titles on the WrestleMania pre-show. If the Usos were building to be huge babyface champs who can dazzle fans, why throw the title change on Raw four weeks before the biggest show of the year? Granted, it was Chicago Raw, so it€™s reasonable that the writers felt that a title change like that would pop the crowd and distract them from the absence of CM Punk. And it freed up the New Age Outlaws to get squashed by The Shield alongside Kane at Mania. Still, it feels like Jimmy and Jey had their WrestleMania moment (and a potentially great moment for the Tag Team Championships) stripped away by winning a month earlier and then not even appearing on the main card. On a four-hour show, surely they could have found 15 minutes.

Scott is a former journalist and longtime wrestling fan who was smart enough to abandon WCW during the Monday Night Wars the same time as the Radicalz. He fortunately became a fan in time for WrestleMania III and came back as a fan after a long high school hiatus before WM XIV. Monday nights in the Carlson household are reserved for viewing Raw -- for better or worse.
