10 Things AEW Fans Need To Know About Ring Of Honor
7. A History Of Supershows
One of the other notable theories many had coming into Tony Khan's "huge" Dynamite announcement centred around perhaps this being the moment when the President of AEW finally confirmed a mouth-watering NJPW/AEW supershow that would combine the star-studded talents of both stacked rosters to produce one of undoubtedly the biggest shows, outside of WWE, North America has ever seen.
That, of course, didn't come to pass. But that doesn't mean that it never will. And the fact that Khan has just gained control of a promotion with a strong history of supershows with the aforementioned NJPW and likes of CMLL will undoubtedly add more fuel to rumours of that eventual AEW/NJPW super smash card.
Those crossover events have seen eye-catching battles such as The Bullet Club (ft. The Young Bucks, The Good Brothers, and AJ Styles) taking on an ROH All Stars unit (ft. Roderick Strong, The Briscoes, Hanson and Ray Rowe of WWE's Viking Raiders fame) over the years, with that bout going down on 2015's Global Wars show.
Again, nothing is official as of this moment, but consider this purchase another step in the right direction towards that long-awaited supercard.
