10 Things AEW Needs To Stop Doing IMMEDIATELY

3. Such Frequent Use Of Blood

When used correctly, blood in professional wrestling is an exceptional tool to have at your disposal.

WWE may have a strict no-blood policy in place these days, but many a wrestling fan would claim that the red stuff has a key role to play in the business. As part of an all-out war between two bitter rivals, in a big match on a major PPV, and delivered at a point that feels logical and sensical in that match, blood can take a great fight to an entirely different level. Heck, why do you think the term 'blood feud' has historically had such an emotion-jarring, serious ring to it?

On the opposite end of the spectrum, if you're seeing bleeding bodies on free TV on a weekly basis, oftentimes in several matches on the same night, often in matches with zero stakes on the line or in cold bouts between two random opponents, why is it particularly unique, attention-grabbing or noteworthy when the next wrestler is busted open?

Like so much in professional wrestling, less is more. If you see the same thing on, say, Dynamite for the first ten weeks of the year, what makes it so special when that same thing happens on Week 11? Nothing, that's what.
