Let's kick off with the obvious, AJ tweeted Stephanie saying she wanted to see equality in pay between Divas and superstars. "They receive a fraction of the wages," was AJ's exact complaint. Typically, a top Diva can make a couple of hundred thousand dollars. In contrast, a mid card male is probably making a half million dollars. The very top male wrestlers are meanwhile making millions. On paper, this looks unfair. However, you do have to consider what will draw. It is a societal issue rather than a WWE issue, that fans would rather pay to see big monsters like John Cena than athletic wrestlers like Charlotte or Natalya. Still, the WWE girls do all deserve raises. Some of them are perhaps on less than 100k. There is Total Divas which allows the girls to maximise earnings, but in terms of like for like pay with the men, there's a clear discrepancy.
