WWE just released a DVD on Owen Hart's career called Owen: Hart of Gold. Bringing up Owen on WWE television has always been a touchy subject because of the settlement terms of the wrongful death lawsuit Owen's widow, Martha, filed against the WWE. She did not want the WWE to profit off of Owen's name at all, considering the circumstances surrounding Owen's death at Over the Edge 1999. Still, the release of the DVD shows that WWE is willing to start bringing Owen's name into the conversation, and will introduce Owen to a new generation of fans who sadly didn't have the opportunity to watch him wrestle. The next step is to bring Owen into the Hall of Fame, either on his own, or as a member of the Hart Foundation alongside Brian Pillman, The British Bulldog, Jim The Anvil Neidhart, and Bret Hart for the second time. It'll be interesting to see what route WWE will take, if any. But it's obvious that fans want Owen to get his rightful place in the Hall.
