10 Things Deleted From WWE History

3. Classic Musical Moments

WWE don't like forking out for the rights to licensed music. This isn't a huge hindrance, as the vast majority of wrestlers' entrance themes are created in-house by CFO$ or Jim Johnston, but it has still forced them to edit swathes of Network footage over the years. They've muted everything from The Oddities' original Insane Clown Posse theme song to The New Day performing Jay-Z's "Empire State Of Mind" at SummerSlam 2015, with ECW suffering the most.

Licensed themes were a huge part of the promotion's presentation, but WWE were forced to replace them with generic production music for the Network. Instead of Sandman entering to the iconic "Enter Sandman" by Metallica, we get a generic grunge ripoff instead. It just isn't the same, and the edits suck the soul out of the shows.

WWE have also removed most segments involving wrestlers singing copyrighted songs on Raw and SmackDown, with Dwayne Johnson's famous 'Rock Concerts' a notable casualty. All three are considered among the best promo work that The Rocky ever produced, but you won't find them on the WWE Network, and must head to third-party video sites to experience their glory.
