10 Things You Didn't Know About The Bella Twins

8. They Both Played Soccer -- And Nikki Was Better

Both of the Bella twins started playing soccer in elementary school, eventually going on to excel at Chaparral High School. Nikki's burgeoning career, as she detailed on Total Divas, was derailed by a leg injury, one which would come back to haunt her following a fall from the ring apron in 2013. Brie was injury-free, but soccer wasn't her game the way it was Nikki's. In an interview with USA Today High School Sports, Brie said, "She was a sweeper and I was center mid; I had a lot of endurance and everything, but, overall, my sister was a better athlete and soccer player." Brie went on to describe the odd way in which she became involved in the sport:
Yeah, you know what€™s funny is that when Nikki would be at soccer practice I€™d show up in my tutu because I€™d be doing ballet on the side with my babysitter. Then a couple of years later the soccer coach convinced me to play because if I€™m Nikki€™s twin I€™d have to be pretty good. I was pretty good at soccer, but I would€™ve loved to have kept up with ballet or played an instrument.
They laugh alike, they walk alike -- at times, they even kicked alike.
