When the Bella Twins returned to WWE in March of 2013 after an 11-month absence, it was amidst rumors that the company was in negotiations with many former Divas (including Beth Phoenix, Maryse, and Kelly Kelly). According to Maria Kanellis, she was in talks for a comeback of her own (one which would have led to a match at WrestleMania XXIX), but the kibosh was put on it by none other than the Bellas. She also claims that they were instrumental in blocking the returns of Maryse and Kelly. The reason for this bad blood? Maria says that it stems from an incident when all of them were with the company and Nikki was dating Dolph Ziggler. As her story goes, she danced with Ziggler (her long-time friend) at a club, and Nikki took offense. That's where the story begins, and it continues to more and more heated. In December, Maria reported that the Bellas' father called her up to tell her to stop publicly saying nasty things about his daughters. Maria's father got on the line, and a dad argument ensued. The Bellas haven't made any statements about Maria.
