We all know how talented a wrestler Ziggler is - that is half the reason why the crowd buy into him so much. But what you may not know is that his amateur career in wrestling was absolutely incredible. In fact, it was so good, that it set plenty of records along the way. He wrestled as an amateur at St. Edward High School in Lakewood, Ohio, where he set a school record for most pins in a career, with an astonishing 82 pins to his name. At the school, he was part of the wrestling team that won the National Championships on not one, but two occasions - perhaps underlining just what a talent he was when it came to wrestling. Ziggler went on to wrestle at Kent State University, where he set a then-record for most career wins in the entire history of the time. Although that record has been passed on two occasions, he still sits third in the all-time standings for most wins, and is the most recent wrestler out of Kent State University to win three amateur championships. That outstanding amateur background laid the platform for what would be a breakthrough into the professional business way back in 2004, when he was snapped up by the WWE.
