Randy Savage, WWE Hall Of Famer. This moniker for Savage can finally become a reality the night before Wrestlemania 31 as he will finally be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame as originally announced by TMZ on Monday morning, and made official on Monday Night Raw this week. Randy's induction has been a VERY long time coming as most will agree. There is a lot of speculation as to why it took so long, but at least now it will happen. It is just unfortunate that Randy is not alive to participate. Savage started his career in 1973 and retired in 2005 to complete a wonderful 32-year career. Some of his career highlights include one of the best professional wrestling matches ever at WrestleMania 3 against Ricky Steamboat, the formation and deconstruction of the Mega Powers with Hulk Hogan, his return to feud with The Ultimate Warrior, and his defection to WCW for a fairly lengthy run. There were very rocky relationships between Savage and Hogan, and also Savage and Vince. We do know that the relationship with Hogan was repaired shortly before his untimely death due to a heart attack back in 2011. It was a death that definitely saddened the wrestling community and fans all over the world. While we will never really know if he ever made peace with Vince, at least we know Vince has made peace with Randy.
