2. His Short Temper Had Career Implications For Others
Randy Orton's short temper has been well documented, and even turned into a major storyline on WWE programming. During his big feud with Triple H in which led to a WrestleMania match, the WWE booked Orton as an uncontrollable psychopath, diagnosed with "intermittent explosive disorder." Orton apparently has no patience for those who screw up in the ring however, as his complaints have caused major turns for two formerly prominent characters. In the midst of a hot feud with surging superstar Kofi Kingston, Orton was set to punt his rival during a match. However, Kofi Kingston missed the cue, and instead got an RKO for his troubles. Following the move, Orton was heard screaming "Stupid! Stupid!" at his opponent. Shortly after, the Kingston/Orton feud, as well as Kofi's push were both quickly nixed, following an angle in which actually grasped the WWE audience. Kingston would get a measure of revenge, at least in storyline, when he defeated Orton on Raw in January 2014. It'd be his last win on Raw in over six months. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N-kxxFjiD6s Kingston wasn't the only victim of Orton's temper however, as Mr. Kennedy (now known as Mr. Anderson in TNA) actually lost his job. At the May 25 Raw, Kennedy made his return after missing several months with an injury, and was put into a 10-man tag match. During the match, Kennedy landed a back suplex on Orton, in which turned the "Legend Killer" inside out. Orton was visibly upset immediately following the move. When Orton got through the curtain, he was livid, complaining that Kennedy was unsafe, and almost hurt him in the ring. Kennedy had a different story, saying that Orton jumped a little too much when delivering the move. In any event, Kennedy was fired just four days later, and debuted in TNA six months later.
