Speaking of Rocky Johnson, The Rock played a comedic tribute to his father in a wrestling-themed episode of 'That '70s Show'. Dwayne's outspoken charisma transferred well from the wrestling ring to a sitcom scenario, and provided him with a bedrock of acting experience to carry forward throughout his career. Although supposedly playing his father, The Rock's character didn't exactly deviate wildly from his in-ring persona, at one stage referring to himself as "the most electrifying man in sports entertainment." Perhaps Johnson would have provided a more accurate portrayal if he took his own oft-stated advice, and simply knew his role.
