10 Things You Don’t Know About WWE In 1995

1. The First WWF vs. WCW Match Took Place In Calgary

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A0h3OyCCXes Years before the InVasion, there was a rare match featuring a WWF-contracted wrestler and a WCW-contracted wrestler. It took place in December 1995 at a Stu Hart Tribute Show for Stampede Wrestling in Calgary, commemorating the 50th anniversary of Stu€™s first match. The WWF-contracted wrestler was Rad Radford (aka the late Louie Spicoli), and the WCW-contracted wrestler was Chris Benoit. Benoit defeated Radford with a superplex, and it€™s unknown if any special permission had been given by the companies considering Radford wasn€™t that big of a star in WWF. Other talent that appeared on the show included Bret and Owen Hart, the British Bulldog, Razor Ramon, Brian Pillman, and the Funks. Shawn Michaels was scheduled to wrestle Bret Hart on the show (months before their Ironman Match at Wrestlemania), but he was still selling his post-concussion symptoms from Owen Hart. How many of these obscure tidbits did you already know? How many did you find out for the first time? Comment below, or hit me up on Twitter @PocketSeagull.
