10 Things Everybody Gets Wrong About AEW

9. "The Storylines Are Too Convoluted"

Cersei Lannister detested both Tyrion Lannister and Daenerys Targaryen because George RR Martin wished to depict her as a real person capable of expressing two different conflicts.

Some people - too bloody many - find it confusing that Kenny Omega is locked in two programmes with PAC and Hangman Page. This isn't difficult to comprehend, but the word 'convoluted' has appeared in several comments sections and tweet replies. PAC has targeted Omega in order to finally settle an outstanding question mark on the record with which he can earn title contention. Meanwhile, Omega is attempting to convince Hangman Page to recover their friendship by joining him in the tag team division. Page, subtly, is not interested, and their mixed fortunes are leading to tension and, ultimately, an explosion.

The same thing happened with Cody, MJF, the Butcher and the Blade. Some, even those who should know better, wondered why AEW had removed focus from the grudge singles feud. MJF hired the outfit to take Cody out, because as the moneyed, cowardly heel, he is using those resources to beg off, allowing in the meantime AEW to establish a new midcard tag team.

Intricate and multi-faceted is different to convoluted. The instant reaction culture - of which we're all guilty - isn't a reflection of the booking.
