It's always interesting to hear talent who were active during the fabled Monday Night Way between WCW and WWE talk about the tension and competitive vibe that existed for the wrestlers of each company. JBL talks about after DX "invaded" Nitro, Vince addressed many of the talent who would be considered the tough guys on the roster (JBL, Farooq, Ken Shamrock, The Harris Brothers, Steve Blackmon, etc.) and instructed them to be ready in case the WCW boys came looking for vengeance. Both companies were instructed to put the opposition on camera and let them into the ring should they actually come inside the arena. JBL and Jericho mention that the competition was so fierce that even small victories such as being the first show to have their opening pyro go off, and taking advantage of the other promotion being preempted were viewed as huge wins.
