10 Things Nobody Wants To Admit About WWE Super ShowDown 2020

9. Mansoor Is Even Boring The Locals

Even the local lad is playing before apathetic, half-hearted cheers.

Mansoor's patriotic promos are wearing a little thin now. There's a sense that Saudi folks are ready to see him do something more than win exhibition matches whenever WWE visit the country, and that came across loud and clear at Super ShowDown. There was barely a shred of excitement when he grabbed the mic.

That first big Battle Royal win at last year's event got a massive pop, but it's very much a case of diminishing returns for the local boy done good. A mere three matches into this run, the lack of genuine support for his cause is glaring. Whether WWE want to admit it or not, Mansoor's current pretence that every win is some terrific national achievement is tedious.

What was once a highlight of these events has become a nuisance. WWE really needed to realise that the gimmick was tired after that Cesaro match at Crown Jewel 2019, and they had to come up with something more substantial for Mansoor to do beyond play the native inspiration card yet again.
