10 Things Post-WrestleMania 39 Raw Told Us About WWE's Future

Did Raw after WrestleMania 39 just tell us who's REALLY calling WWE's creative shots?

Somewhere, members of classic rock group Bachman–Turner Overdrive saw negative reactions to WrestleMania 39's main event and popped up to yell, "You ain't seen nothin yet!".

A section of the WWE audience was left steaming mad that Cody Rhodes' emotional story didn't end with an emotional title win over Roman Reigns in Hollywood. 24 hours later, following reportedly frantic last-minute redrafts of the script, Raw saw the top babyface run into his new foe whilst simultaneously keeping rematches vs. Roman in creative's back pocket.

People are angry about that too.

The question must be asked: Did Raw after 'Mania 39 tell the world exactly who is calling creative plays behind the scenes? It can't be Triple H, because Monday's show lacked his style (one fans have grown accustomed to since he assumed control of the pen last summer).

Oh yes, Vince McMahon is back, and he's bringing some old tropes with him. So, with Backlash, King & Queen Of The Ring and Money In The Bank soon to come, what did the traditionally-rowdy Raw after 'Mania have to say about WWE's future?

If you ask some folks, nothing good...

10. WWE Has No Real Tag Title Challengers

The Street Profits won Saturday's surprisingly fun "Showcase" bout at 'Mania, then immediately thrust themselves into the frame for a shot at WWE's new Undisputed Tag Champs. Despite being non-title, the insinuation was clear - Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins are coming for Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn.

They lost round one.

Generally, WWE does a very poor job of readying challengers for would-be champions ahead of time. It's like they're caught totally off guard by their own booking, then scramble to find faces who can fit last-minute. That's presumably why there are no ready-made challengers for KO and Sami coming out of WrestleMania 39.

That's shocking to report, and it smacks of laziness from the writers. Logically, given that they knew who'd be winning Saturday's main event ahead of time, you'd think creative would start lining up credible opponents for the new champs from January/February onwards.

Nope: they don't really have any feud to slot into after beating The Usos.
