The duo of Tyson Kidd and Cesaro is the best current example of a mismatched tag team in WWE. It's a trend that the company has followed for years and it's one that has become a plan B that is used more often than not for singles Superstars that have perhaps lost their way. Basically, WWE creative seemed to have run out of ideas for Kidd and Cesaro. So rather than repackage either guy and put them back on the road to success, WWE decided instead to pair them up together. Despite the fact that the two men have nothing in common and no shared history to draw from, they have been making the best of it and are looking fairly solid as a tag team. While some may believe it's too soon for them to gain championship gold, the truth is that now may be the best time for it to happen. Cesaro and Kidd are fully capable of wearing the titles and it is arguably the easiest way for them to garner respect and attention as a tag team. However, a win at Fastlane does not have to be the end of their rivalry with The Usos. This is an angle that could play out among the next several weeks following Fastlane and could even see the belts switching from one side to the other more than once. If the plan is to revitalize Cesaro and Kidd's careers, then this could be the best way to get that process underway.
