2. The End Of Johnny Gargano's Heel Run

Johnny Gargano as a heel has not worked. His promos have been mediocre, his character work inadequate and he’s aimlessly floating in the card with nothing to sink his teeth into. Gargano was a contender for the best wrestler in the world a couple years ago, and since turning heel, he's not had anything close to a classic match to cement his new run as a success.

It's depressing for a former diehard fan of the Rebel Heart to see him suffering as a midcard antagonist. Gargano's tweener run back in 2018 was a disaster and doubling down on it this year has made his segments more tiresome, especially when he takes frequent losses which damage his credibility. It’s time for him to go back to his babyface days where he was most successful, and ditch his current morally ambiguous disposition.

It's not a bad thing to only excel at one half of the morality spectrum - the industry needs natural babyfaces, ones that fans will do anything to see overcome the odds. Gargano is one of those special wrestlers who can make everyone get behind him, and he needs to turn back before that connection is lost forever.
