9 Things That Should Have Happened On WCW’s Final Nitro

8. Eddie Guerrero Comes To Check On Chavo

According to the man himself, Chavo Guerrero was in contact with his uncle Eddie during the Raw/Nitro simulcast. Both were backstage at their respective shows, and it's fascinating to think that they were on the phone throughout the broadcast. It seems that Eddie was concerned for his nephew's future, something that could have been woven into storyline.

Imagine if Eddie had actually shown his face at Monday Nitro, hinting that he was on the WCW side. It wouldn't have been too far-fetched, and the situation could have been explained away that the Guerrero family were stronger than any allegiance to certain wrestling companies if push came to shove. However, it could also have provided a useful tool to kickstart Eddie and Chavo as a tag-team.

Later in WWE, Los Guerreros would gel instantly as one of the best teams on the roster. That could have happened sooner. By the end of the year, Eddie's personal problems mounted and he was released by the WWF. He'd return in 2002, but the guy would take a while to rebuild his career. Having Chavo around - someone who had already agreed to switch over to the WWF - may have helped in several ways.
