10 Things That Would Have Happened If Vince Russo Booked Every WWE Era

5. Jim Ross Would Have Been Subjected To Endless Onscreen Humiliations

Oklahoma was one of Russo's most offensive creations.

His writing lackey, Ed Ferrara, portrayed the character - a disgusting parody of Jim Ross, right down to an awful impersonation of the Bell's Palsy that forced him out of action for months and reduced his overall quality of life. Those who accuse Russo of being utterly incapable of wrapping up his bizarre storylines coherently might want to wind their neck in right about now. Oklahoma bravely overcame his condition and completed his storyline arc...

...by having barbecue sauce poured all over his face. Jesus wept.

Yes, Oklahoma was a lowbrow, undercard character. Yes, he received comeuppance from the hands of Madusa. And yes, both Russo and Ferrara have since apologised profusely for their actions in the years since. But the angle was one of the most tasteless in wrestling history. And that is some bloody feat. Russo, as we've covered, has been prone throughout his career to repeating tactics that never worked the first time. It's reasonable to suggest that he'd let Good Ol' JR in for some awful ol' treatment. Hell, he probably isn't above getting Vince McMahon to do his best Oklahoma impression.

Wait. That already happened. And who says Vince McMahon isn't aware of wrestling outside the WWE bubble?
