10 Things WWE Must Do In The Post-WrestleMania Season

4. Make Us Care About Extreme Rules (And Other B Shows)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0rJOEez9Big Extreme Rules will, more than likely, be a fun and entertaining show. The event has a good reputation for delivering the goods, thanks to the fact that most (if not all) of the matches will have some sort of gimmick attached to them. Expect to see cages, tables and other assorted weaponry/gimmickry on the night. Gimmicks and mayhem are all well and good, but fans really need a reason to care about the show. It cannot allow itself to become just another show featuring WrestleMania or, worse, Raw rematches. Does the world really need another Rusev versus Cena PPV match, even if it is an 'Extreme Flag Match' (or something)? Probably not. One big way WWE can entice new Network subscribers is by producing a fresh show full of fresh matches at Extreme Rules. WWE will not have the likes of The Undertaker, Sting, Brock Lesnar and Triple H to help them out on this night. No, they need to really make fans want to see the show, in spite of the absence of the mega stars.
