When looking at the recent landscape of main roster WWE programming, things have been hugely lacking in the tag team ranks and in both the Raw and SmackDown's respective women's divisions.

Sure, Raw Women's Champion Bianca Belair has had plentiful TV time as she's been butting heads with the likes of Becky Lynch, Asuka and Carmella, and likewise the SmackDown Women's Title has had a strong presence when held by Charlotte Flair, Ronda Rousey and now Liv Morgan. The problem comes, though, when you look past whichever rivalry has taken up the time of those title holders at any particular point in time.

If you step back from Champion A vs. Challenger B, the women's divisions have been treated hideously. A good chunk of the talent are left chasing shadows in the 24/7 Title spot of death, whilst others - here's looking at you, Lacey Evans - are left to make the best of utter dross from a creative team (well, Vince...) who forever can't decide whether to fork left or fork right.

Likewise for the tag team division - with the Usos having had an iron grip on the Unified WWE Tag Team Titles for the past three months - any tandem not involved in challenging for that prize has been left in the background or forced to do standard WWE BS like dress up as vikings.

Simply put, if you're a main roster tag pairing or female talent who's not in the title hunt at any one point, recent history says WWE couldn't give a sh*t about your TV presentation. In NXT under Triple H, there were always several programmes running, several cogs turning when it came to issues and rivalries involving the women and tag teams away from the title picture.
