NXT is Triple H's baby.
And, to that end, he's done a fine job of raising that baby into a young adult able to stand on its own and show the world it has something to offer.
In some respects, the NXT brand is arguably already more popular (or at least, more ascendent) than its WWE counterparts and it is only a matter of time before the promotion is offered an opportunity to stand toe-to-toe with programs like Raw and SmackDown Live. Under Triple H, there's no doubt he would love to see that happen and if he can, he'll try to get NXT on a cable spot rather than the WWE Network.
Perhaps nothing more than the success of NXT would Triple H's career as an executive be defined. He took the reigns of that brand from the very start and has proved he has what it takes to make stars, produce a show and develop talent.
Working in the shadow of a man like Vince won't be easy but whenever there's a doubt Triple H is in over his head, he'll want to point to NXT as the thing that proves he knows what he's doing.
