The big question regarding these partnerships is what exactly will they lead to? As stated in both official press releases, as of now, the companies have agreed to a talent exchange programs with GFW and Jarrett. However, what talents will be used is not entirely clear. For example, New Japans current IWGP Heavyweight Champion -- its top ranking title -- is A.J. Styles. Will A.J. once again be joining Jarretts ranks? Or will lesser-known, up-and-coming stars from New Japan and AAAs ranks be crossing the globe to compete for Global Force Wrestling? Furthermore, New Japan had previously just announced a new partnership with Ring of Honor, back in February of this year. That working relationship led to two separate co-promoted internet pay-per-view events this past May. Will New Japans partnership with ROH have any effect on Global Force Wrestling? Its possible that, as ROH fans witnessed, GFWs agreement with NJPW could eventually move past a simple talent exchange program and potentially lead to a co-promoted event in the States or even Japan. Its also possible, although unlikely, that GFW could reach some sort of agreement with Ring of Honor, due to both companies close ties to the Japanese juggernaut. Only time will tell what happens with Global Force Wrestling and its various partnerships, agreements, and dealings. Will GFW become a new top promotion in the wrestling world, or will it fizzle out and fail? Let us know your thoughts on GFW and if you plan to #JoinTheForce in the comments below.
