It's fairly well-known that Finn Balor was the one who trained Becky Lynch. Both have spoken about this in various interviews before, acknowledging that Becky was tougher than most of the guys she trained alongside. One of those boys was her own brother, someone who shared the same passion for wrestling as his sister.

The future SmackDown Women's Champ did find some resistance at home though, especially from her doting mother. Only caring about her child, Becky's mum didn't really like the idea of her little girl entering the harsh world of professional wrestling. That's precisely why Lynch pulled the wool over her eyes.

Telling her mother than she was training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu instead, Becky admits that her parent was very upset when she found out the truth. Remarkably, that worry would turn to encouragement over the years.

Lost and doubting herself after moving to the United States, Lynch phoned her mother and said she wanted to come home. Saying it was time to dig her heels in, Becky's mum told the soon-to-be WWE star that she had to see her dreams through.
