Vince McMahon's introductions for those early WrestleMania cards will be remembered forever by a generation who witnessed them first hand. Hearing him bellow timeless lines like, "It's the Ultimate Challenge" and, "Welcome to WrestleMania" will never get old, right?

They did for the man himself.

Vince's enthusiastic intro for the legendary Aretha Franklin frankly p*ssed him off, largely because Bruce and others would rib him for how over-the-top it was. Making things worse for McMahon, his writers (mainly Prichard) regularly referenced his gusto when the boss would chastise talent for over-producing their performances during promos.

Bruce and pals had a point; Vince was warning his workers not to show the same passion and energy he had years before on the biggest show of the year, and he was directly ignoring his own zesty performances as a result. 'Do as I say and not as I do' comes to mind.
