Fittingly, Renée Paquette's new 'Oral Sessions' podcast with Christian Cage is an 'Instant Classic'.

Paquette has a habit of bringing the best out in her guests. The ex-WWE host-come-commentator's conversational style is disarming though, because Renée isn't afraid to ask the pressing questions or get the scoop - to her credit, she's not one for dirt either. She just focuses on the right topics.

It's obvious from listening to the pod that Paquette and Christian are great pals in real life too. They freely discussed everything from Cage's recent AEW signing, his WWE return last year and Royal Rumble cameo, what he thought about Tony Khan when the pair first banged heads years ago and more.

Of course, most of the chat concentrated on All Elite. Throughout, Christian revealed some tasty details about his own negotiation process with AEW boss Khan, what was running through his mind backstage at Revolution and who he's most excited to work with now he's officially on the roster.

Also, there was a hidden dilemma on the pay-per-view that's frankly hilarious. You need to read about that one.

Here's everything we learned...

10. He Didn’t Know About AEW's Announcement

Wow.

That's all this fan could think when he found out that Christian didn't have a clue that fellow new hire Paul Wight would be hyping up his debut on last week's episode of Dynamite. Amazingly, "nothing was signed" before that announcement aired, and Cage didn't even know AEW planned to tease his arrival at all.

He was still in the midst of negotiations with the company about coming in, but he wasn't concerned in the slightest - Christian told Renée that he and Tony Khan had "hit it off" big time during early chats. In fact, they got on so well that their very first proper conversation on the phone lasted around two hours.

Cage didn't think things would go that well before sitting down to talk turkey. So, when he watched the former Big Show whip the internet into a frenzy last Wednesday, Christian only smiled and hoped he could live up to the hype.
