Matt mentions how many fighters have been outspoken in their opinions of CM Punk and his joining the UFC. He says that personally he respects the move and acknowledges that guys have different motivations for getting in the cage, and he says that no matter what happens Punk isn't going to regret this experience.

He agrees and appreciates the compliment, and in response to Jim asking if he's gotten any negative blowback he says that he can go on Twitter and get "f**king depressed with millions of people tweeting their ignorant a** opinions at me".

He says he tries to stay away from it because it can put him in a bad headspace if you listen to it, and prefers to listen to his wife, his trainers, friends and team. Punk knows he isn't the best at this but just wants to give it an honest shot.

As far as feedback from actual UFC fighters, he says he's seen that some guys have said stuff and then been nice to his face, while some guys have been supportive from the gate.

He tends to find that the more successful fighters are the ones who don't feel threatened and have been encouraging, but he understands the side from the people who are resentful that someone with no exprience has come in and taken a prominent spot.

"At the end of the day it's still going to be a f**king fistfight in a cage. And if I lose, then they can f**king laugh at me on Twitter. And if I win, f**k yeah, good for. If I win, 'Mickey sucks'. If I lose, 'LOL go back to WWE'".
