5. Andre The Giant Just Didn’t Like Him
There are numerous stories about Andre The Giant disliking other big men, and most agree that was because he thought they'd dilute some of his spotlight. Still, one clip during 'Dark Side' reveals that Andre really didn't take to Bam Bam Bigelow at all, and it caught the relative rookie by surprise.
Andre legitimately choked Bigelow with the top rope during a match at Madison Square Garden, and generally roughed the young newcomer up. A voice clip of Bammer speaking about the incident is fascinating - he was more concerned with passing out and getting embarrassed inside MSG than anything else.
Shane Douglas chimed in to say some were clearly jealous that Bigelow was successful from the off in the WWF. He'd been teaming with Hulk Hogan on cards all over the country. Apparently, Andre and others didn’t like that, so they figured they'd send him a message.
This bit of the show didn't paint the iconic giant in a good light.
