4. Tammy Wonders If Chris Knew About HBK
There isn't too much spotlight on Shawn Michaels in VICE's documentary, but he's in there for a scene or two. Comments from a 2020 interview with Sunny are shown, and she wonders aloud if Chris knew the full extent of her relationship with HBK. Then, there's a claim that doesn't add up.
Sunny says she didn't start seeing Shawn until splitting from Candido. That collides with comments from others; Terri Runnels, for example, rather definitively says that "everyone knew" backstage in the WWF. Meanwhile, Cornette thinks Chris would've confronted Michaels had Shawn not be a top guy.
Yikes.
It is rather sad to hear Sunny/Tammy wonder how much Chris knew about what was going on, especially when she says no-one will ever find out because he's gone. That hit home hard here, as did Tom Prichard's ignorance to the whole saga. He claims he didn't have a clue if Candido knew, so they can't have been very close off-screen.
