The whole trip was worth it to Bischoff though. Why? Well, he thought about how p*ssed off Vince McMahon would be when he heard that WCW had pulled in "170,000" (that number has been debated; Dave Meltzer reported that the first day's number was closer to 150,000, and that the second drew 165,000) per show.

Scott Norton was told that people were forced at gunpoint to go as part of national duty, but Eric didn't care about that at the time. He pictured McMahon seething with rage about the size of the crowds, and wondered if they'd just topped some of the biggest WrestleMania supercards by coming over to North Korea.

That's unbelievable.

It made Bischoff smile to imagine an annoyed Vince back then. Seeing such a sea of humanity coming out to watch some of his WCW stars was a sign of progression to Eric - it didn't matter that those folks were mandated to be there.
