10 Things We Learned From Diamond Dallas Page On The Steve Austin Show
3. Acting As An Exit Strategy
Austin asks if yoga was always his exit strategy from wrestling, or if he was thinking his acting career would take off. DDP says he's never given up on the acting thing, adding that it's one more thing people have laughed at him for. He says that he's had meetings with some of the biggest Hollywood people in the world and would leave thinking that was his big chance and then it never went anywhere. He says he's had breaks here and then, mentioning his role in Rob Zombie's The Devil's Rejects as well as an upcoming lead in Adi Shankar's Gods and Secrets. Ten years ago when he left the wrestling business he dedicated himself to learning as much about the craft of acting as he could, taking classes and working his way up the ladder until he felt he'd learned as much as he could after four years of studying.
