There's some interesting commentary from Austin on Drew's issues with Roman Reigns.

'Stone Cold' prepared a slideshow comparison between the pair's face-to-face at WrestleMania 35 and their staredown at Survivor Series 2020. The obvious change is that both men had belts by this past November's pay-per-view, but that wasn't the only difference from their 2019 original.

Austin could see that McIntyre (in particular) wasn't quite as confident at 'Mania 35 as he would be the following year. According to Drew, there were two reasons for that. Firstly, he was still finding himself in the spring months of 2019. Also, the match was more about Reigns than McIntyre, and he knew that going in.

Nonetheless, there was a definite shift in attitude for both men by the time Survivors 2020 rolled around. In Austin's words, they went from 'confident dudes' to "alpha males", and he thought it was bad ass to see. Drew agrees completely.

He feels like he's finally been able to find that spark and self-assurance needed to be WWE Champion.
