10 Things We Learned From Hulk Hogan On Talk Is Jericho (Part 2)

1. Thought On Today's WWE

Jericho and Hollywood wrap up by discussing the current state of the WWE, the talent and the business in general. Hogan defers to Vince's vision and has the utmost faith in his decision-making, for example in regards to controversial choices such as the refusal to turn John Cena heel. He acknowledges how much faster the entire industry is forced to move, from a business and a workrate standpoint, the latter of which has lead to many more injuries. Hulk names Cena as his favorite because he understands the schedule and the pressure that comes with being "the man", crediting him as being a great worker and an even better human being. If anyone can sympathize with what it's like to be the sole centerpiece of the company it's definitely Hulkster. He's also very impressed with the 3 former members of The Shield and Bray Wyatt (who he didn't realize was Mike Rotunda's kid at first) and is amazed at how fast they've excelled in their careers. Hulk Hogan has made no secret about the fact that he'd love to have one more match, or preferably one last title run in WWE before he finally hangs up the red and yellow for good. Jericho asks him if he'll do it again and Hogan says he could, provided the situation and the talent was right. He wanted to join Cena's team at Survivor Series, but obviously that didn't come to fruition. His last match would have to be with someone who meant something, and he names Rusev as an ideal opponent. And finally we get Jericho's patented "favorite match" question, which Hulk names as the Andre match and his bout with Rock at WrestleMania X8 as his runner-up. And THEN he blesses us with yet another version of the infamous Metallica story, with Hogan amending the tale to him just submitting an audition tape and never hearing back from the band at all. This was a phenomenal interview featuring one of the most iconic figures the business has ever seen and ever will see, and the conversation was free-flowing and entertaining throughout.
