10 Things We Learned From Hulk Hogan On Talk Is Jericho (Part 2)

4. Relationship With Macho Man

Few wrestling rivalries are as storied as that of Hulk Hogan and Randy Savage. The feud between the two spawned numerous classic moments and a main event for the ages when the Mega-Powers exploded at WrestleMania V. For a time, they were as close outside the ring as they were hated enemies inside of it. Hulk cites Macho as the guy he loved working with more than anyone else. He describes meeting Savage for the first time in WWE (contradicting his claim at the beginning of the interview when he named him as one of his friends he brought into the company) and being immediately taken with Elizabeth, clicking with the pair right away. Randy blamed Hogan and his ex-wife Linda for the dissolution of his relationship with Liz, but says the two were able to reconcile before Savage passed away in 2011. Prior to squashing their beef he details a run-in between the two at Universal while Hulk went to meet with Dixie Carter about coming to work for TNA. Savage had been dissing him via rap songs (yes, that really happened) and upon his arrival Scott Hall told him Macho was there and began instigating. When Hulkster walked inside Savage was there with Kevin Nash and Brian Adams and after Randy rejected his attempts to shake hands and let bygones be bygones Hogan challenged him to take it outside but Macho man declined, preferring to dine on a delicious cheese plate instead. The next time the pair saw each other was at a doctor's office when they were both in a better place personally, and reconnected. It's nice to know the two were able to put the conflict behind them.
