10 Things We Learned From Jeff Hardy On Stone Cold’s Broken Skull Podcast

1. His Two Remaining WWE Goals

Jeff sort of/kind of/pretty much used Austin's 'Broken Skull Sessions' platform to call out Roman Reigns and pitch a run opposite the 'Tribal Chief'. This makes sense now that Hardy is back on SmackDown again post-2021 Draft, but it was certainly a unique time to shift back into kayfabe land.

'Stone Cold' didn't stand in his way or try to play down the pitch.

Jeff told his host that he badly wants to be Universal Champion before retiring. He's never held that title, and he'd perhaps be able to tag-team a championship run with matches against Reigns - that's his other remaining WWE goal, for the record. It's also achievable (the rivalry with Roman more than the title reign).

WWE may need a respected, over veteran like Hardy to fill a gap in Reigns' schedule pre or post-WrestleMania 38. The feud would be a fun one, and it could reignite Jeff's career at the business end. The 44-year old knows he doesn't have endless amounts of ring time left.
