10 Things We Learned From Kofi Kingston On Edge & Christian’s Podcast

6. Kofi Spotted Edge At WrestleMania XIV

Not everyone who attends WrestleMania has the best view of the ring. That was the case when a 16-year old Kofi attended WrestleMania XIV in Boston's FleetCenter back in 1998. He and friends from high school had terrible seats, but their limited experience didn't come without hidden benefits.

That was the first time Kingston clapped eyes on Edge.

Before making his debut later that year, Edge took in the glory of 'Mania with Don Callis by a set of double doors in the crowd. Kingston and his mates were stoked, but when they tried to go over and talk to the newcomer (whom they recognised from some vignettes and magazines) Callis shooed them away.

On another occasion, Kingston was on a trip away from home with buddies and saw Edge again. This time, he was too shy to go over and bother the star, so he missed out on some autographs and a quick pic.
