5. He Wanted To Quit Immediately

His first training session was not a success. Kurt was coached by Dory Funk Jr and Tom Prichard as he worked his way up to his WWE debut. Like many wrestlers before him (and no doubt many after) his first experience of bumping was not a happy one. In Kurt's 'Table For Three' episode with Edge and Christian they discuss this in detail.

Christian remembers waking up the morning after his first session with bruises from his wrists to his shoulders from breaking his falls over and over again. Edge remembers feeling like he was going to be sick and defecate at the same time the first time he hit the canvas.

Kurt was no different. After his first three bumps in the ring, he walked over to his manager and told him he couldn't do any more. He was ready to get up and walk out on the WWE forever. His manager took him to one side and convinced him to stay until the end of the day at least. After his third day of training, he was offered a contract by the company. The rest is history.
