10 Things We Learned From Martha Hart On Talk Is Jericho

5. His Kids Don’t Really Watch Owen's Old Matches

Neither of Owen's children pay much attention to their father's iconic ring career.

That was one of the bigger takeaways from Martha's interview. Oje and Athena were never really that interested in the pro wrestling stuff, and she thinks Owen would like that. He'd always spoken to her about getting out of the biz before both kids were at high school, because he didn't want them dealing with that, "Oh, your dad's a wrestler" stuff like he had to growing up.

Today, Oje is a law school graduate and Athena writes for an animal magazine. Martha never discouraged them from trawling through the archives to watch Owen's classics against brother Bret, Shawn Michaels or anyone else, but they rarely (if ever) do it or talk about the wrestling side of things.

In fairness, the way their father's life ended must make it incredibly painful for Oje and Athena to look back on Owen's WWE career. Instead of being wowed by his stunning in-ring performances, they prefer to remember him as their dad back home.
