Matt Cardona and Brian Myers are just two guys who love pro wrestling.

That came across loud and clear during their light-hearted interview with Chris Jericho for the AEW star's 'Talk Is Jericho' podcast. This wasn't some WWE burial either - the real-life friends regard themselves as lucky dudes who got to live out some amazing experiences, and they're grateful for all the help others gave them along the way.

At the same time, there are some regrets over the way they handled certain situations. WWE's tight corporate structure makes it difficult for those who aren't in Vince McMahon's plans to speak up, and it also leaves some eating "sh*tty salt and pepper chicken" in catering. Such directionless day-to-day life is common in the promotion.

If you're looking for some Jon Moxley-esque roast of McMahon's approach and juicy dirt on who the assholes are backstage, then this probably isn't the pod for you. There's reflection, and a lot of honesty about what the company is really like, but the former Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins are positive guys, and that positivity is infectious.
