10 Things We Learned From Nail In The Coffin: The Fall And Rise Of Vampiro
4. Those Jeff Jarrett Stories Were True
At the time of Triplemania XXV, several wrestling news sites reported stories that Jeff Jarrett was a major problem during the event, with many suggesting that Jarrett was intoxicated during Jarrett's Team GFW match.
Sadly, Nail in the Coffin shows those stories to be 100% correct.
Things start to go slightly array when Jarrett half-playfully tells a few people that they suck. This happens as Double J is a minute away from making his ring entrance, and the situation gets more alarming when Jeff ends up in a verbal altercation with three-time World Champion boxer Jhonny Gonzalez.
If you remember, this was the event where Jarrett's entrance saw him take an unplanned walk into the audience to throw out tacos. While this plays out, you can see an irate Vampiro watching on, and things further escalate by the time Jarrett gets backstage after his match.
It's here we get to see a clearly intoxicated Jeff Jarrett lunge at several of his fellow wrestlers, with La Parka in particular in his sights, before Jeff starts calling Killer Kross a c**t. For Kross' part, he's ready to go, with his fists taped up and a chair in hand.
For Vampiro, the next several minutes of Nail in the Coffin are spent watching him apologising to superstars and crew for what's gone on.
All of this is pretty nuts to see play out, and we can at least take some solace with reports that Jeff Jarrett has since sought help with his demons and is now sober.
