Now I’m not sure if this happens at all the events but before the show started, NJPW President Harold Meij was stood in the bar area in front of a big NJPW banner, posing for photographs and meeting with the fans.

I don't know if this is a regular feature of NJPW shows where you get to meet someone before the show or if this is just a ploy to try and ingratiate himself with the fans but either way, they seemed to enjoy it and lined up politely for the opportunity.

Speaking of the bar area too, there are a bunch of cabinets with memorabilia from many famous events in the venue. Photographs, posters and ring worn items all adorn the walls in a sort of mini Korakuen Hall museum. Plus the World Tag League trophies were out there for all to see, reminding everyone of the prestige of the event.
