Jim Ross' handling of an unimaginably difficult broadcasting responsibility was praised even during castigations of the company for electing to continue on with the Over The Edge pay-per-view, so bravely pragmatic and professional that it was.

'JR' appears briefly in the documentary via soundbites from his own YouTube Q&As over the years, painting a picture of the profound panic taking place in his ear shortly before he had to perform the the most devastating duty of his career.

Relaying the story, he said; "in the chaos, the folks in the back that were supposed to tell me at the Gorilla Position what was going were off headset doing other stuff, which I understand, but we didn't have the information. So he told me, 'he's dead, and you're back in 10, 9..."

What followed was the heartbreaking address by Ross to confirm what many had suspected from the ghost-like reaction of Jerry Lawler when he'd returned from helping tend to Owen's fallen frame just hours earlier.

Then-Executive Vice President Of Talent Relations as well as the beloved voice of the on-screen product, Ross was a credit to the multiple roles he had with the company that night, even if the company itself was about to come under intense and uncomfortable scrutiny.
