Throughout the documentary, John Pollock speaks at length with Canadian broadcaster Jeff Marek to get a contextualised and valuable wrestling media take from somebody stationed close to the incident. Marek was the host of Pollock's former homebase Live Audio Wrestling. Robust and reliable, 'The LAW' had a loyal following keen to hear all the weekly wrestling updates and monthly post-pay-per-view discussion.

There was only one talking point on May 23rd.

Ahead of going on the air immediately following the show, Marek made several key calls. One was to Dave Meltzer to get as much information as he could before broadcast, whilst others were made via his wrestler rolodex to Terry Funk and The Honky Tonk Man.

Marek shows earnest candor describing both coversations, noting how Funk politely declined on account of how furious he was with Vince McMahon for the entire ordeal, whilst Honky Tonk Man encouraged him not to even report it because of the steadfast belief that it was all a work. Neither made it on air to comment in the end; a result that perhaps suited both men with the benefit of hindsight.
